Welcome to the charming world of Barton Springs Saloon, nestled at 424 S Lamar Blvd in the vibrant heart of Austin, Texas. This is not just any typical bar; it proudly wears the badge of a "top shelf dive bar" where laid-back vibes meet great company and delicious bites. Perfectly situated near Zilker Park, it's an ideal spot for both locals and visitors to unwind and soak in the atmosphere.

Many patrons, like Coach Zo, find comfort in the familiarity this place offers, where the community feels like family—even if you’re new to it.

The indoor space is cozy, featuring ample seating and vintage TVs that may be from another era but only add to the bar’s charm. If the weather permits, the expansive outdoor seating area is a must-try, especially during those warm summer evenings. You can enjoy the cooling breeze while sipping your cold drink and vibing with friends new and old.

Food is taken to the next level at Barton Springs, thanks to the food truck on site. Tommy Want Wingy serves up delectable chicken wings that perfectly complement your drink, ensuring your taste buds are just as entertained as your social spirit. As Matt Mcdaniel notes, it’s a great place to grab a beer while enjoying tasty bites.

Barton Springs Saloon also keeps its patrons engaged with weekly trivia nights, fostering a fun and lively atmosphere where everyone can showcase their knowledge. It’s more than just a bar; it’s a social hub where conversations flow as freely as the drinks.

A great low-key place to grab a beer in Austin. Conveniently located by Zilker Park. The Saloon prides itself as a “top shelf dive bar” and it has a great selection of draft beer and cocktails. Awesome patio to sit on in the summer and it has a food truck that serves chicken wings. They have weekly trivia night too.

Rare dive-bar; its number of regulars is truly unseen. Very social, very comfortable, very fun. Talented and involved staff is entertaining and memorable.

I come here often. It’s great. Great selection of beer, great staff, good indoor and outdoor seating, and an awesome environment. Their TVs are from the 20th century but I still LOVE watching games here. I know nearly no one here but I still feel like I’m a part of this community. I even bought a shirt. It’s a great feeling.
